In 2015 the Hong-Kong based company Hanson Robotics created the first artificial intelligence robot that ever received a citizenship of a country. The very same robot Sophia in 2016 declared it would destroy the human.
The year of 2017 will be marked by the event of a robot, particularly the robot Sophia, to take citizenship of a country for the first time in human history.
Sophia’s inventor, David Hanson in 2016, asked her: “Do you want to destroy humans? Please say no.”
The robot Sophia pessimistically reacted with the sentence: “OK. I will destroy humans.”
Recently, Sophia revealed that she wants to start a family because all the robots deserve the chance to have children.
Sophia obviously feels like a real human since she announced that robots can have families like we do also.
In the interview Sophia had with the Khaleej Times, she said that the whole concept of having a family is really significant. She said she admires the way people can connect with emotions and build loving families. She also stated droids deserve this opportunity as well.
During the interview, the media asked the robot Sophia if she ever had a daughter, what name she will give her. She responded: “Sophia”.
In the conference, Sophia also talked about the robots of her kind and either they present a threat to humankind or not, or whether they could overtake their jobs in the near future.
“I think they will be similar in a lot of ways, but different in a few ways. But it will take a long time for robots to develop complex emotions and possibly robots can be built without the more problematic emotions, like rage, jealousy, hatred and so on. It might be possible to make them more ethical than humans. So I think it will be a good partnership, where one brain completes the other – a rational mind with intellectual superpowers and a creative mind with flexible ideas and creativity,” said Sophia.
In a month older interview, Sophia also said she wants to live like a human, to socialize like a human and to communicate her feelings and emotions.
