Although many of us think that dietary carbonated drinks are a good alternative to the ordinary, it is not. Look at the 5 things that seemingly healthy soda drinks make to your body.

1. Maybe they are the reason you can not get pregnant

Bisphenol A has been shown to cause a reduced number of sperm in men’s. This chemical can be found on many aluminum cans, including those in which the drinks are sold. Due to a hormonal disorder, this chemical is also associated with an increased risk of developing the fetal problems. To avoid these complications, stay away from the drinks in a can.

2. You’re gaining more weight

Although the dietary carbonated drinks do not have many calories, your body doesn’t know what to do with the artificial sweeteners, and immediately stores them as fats on your body. Also, if you are saying that it is okay to eat more food because your drink does not have calories, it is not like that. In a study conducted by the University of Texas, it was discovered that over a decade, the people who consumed these dietary carbonated drinks had an increased the volume of their waist for 70%, unlike those who did not drink soda. And even worse, the respondents who imported two or more of these beverages per day had a 500% larger volume. It is good to know that these dietary soft drinks doesn’t help you to maintain your body line.

3. Can easily destroy your teeth

We all know that the sugar is bad for our teeth, but drinks with acids can cause as much damage than the sugar. These dietary soft drinks are acidic and drinking can damage your teeth, so just an advice, stick to the drinks with a low-acidity such as the milk and the water.

4. They are associated with diabetes type 2

In 2009, a study was conducted into the effects of dietary carbonated drinks on the body. The research has shown that drinking just one such a drink per day increases the risk of diabetes type 2 up to 67%, compared to the people who did not drink.

5. It may be associated with the brain stroke

A recent study found a connection between the dietary carbonated drinks and the brain stroke. While this research has not yet been firmly established, there is an evidence that this may be a real problem. Those people who consumed at least one artificial sweetener a day, compared to those who consumed less than once a week, had 3 times more chances to get a brain stroke.
